Final Paper Specification:


The PNC online paper and poster submission system is now open, and the submission deadline is extended to July 15th, 2017. Authors are kindly invited to submit an extended abstract of their papers (up to 4 pages). Authors of accepted abstract will be required to submit the full papers (8 pages) by September 30th, 2017. Use the Templates to meet the full paper formatting requirement below. Your paper MUST comply with the following specifications:


                  - Paper Length: 8 pages, including figures, tables & references
                      - Paper Size: US Letter (8.5" x 11") or A4 (210mm X 297mm)
  •                   - File Format: Adobe PDF (pdf)           
  •                   - Do NOT page number your paper                 
  •                   - Do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file.                

  • Note: It is a requirement from IEEE that each paper submitted to PNC 2017 should go through IEEE crosscheck. Please be aware the similarity index of your submitted final paper.


    For inclusion in the conference proceedings, authors are required to submit a signed copyright form with their full paper submission.



    PDF eXpress Usage:


    Please use the IEEE PDF eXpress Site to check if your final paper is IEEE format compliant. To get the correct PDF file, please follow the steps:


                      1. Use the IEEE Template file to prepare your final paper in MS Word.
                        2. Open the IEEE PDF eXpress Site and create a New User (If you already have used this system before skip this step.)
    •                   3. Login IEEE PDF eXpress Site with the conference ID 41447X and your own account.
    •                   4. Create New Title for your final paper. The title should be your paper title.
                        5. Upload the MS Word file to be converted (Recommended), or upload the PDF file to be checked.                 
                      You will receive the PDF file in your email or it can be downloaded from the website.                  
                        6. Upload your converted PDF file in PNC Submission System by September 30, 2017.



About Poster Sessions:

There are two categories of PNC 2017 Poster Sessions: "Poster Competition" and "Demonstration Zone."

I. General Poster Competition

 All participants are required to give an oral orientation. Winners will be selected and awarded after evaluation of the Grading
   Committee. Below please find detailed regulation and grading standards for both competitions:   


General Poster Competition selection criteria are:
                  (1) Main Theme and Research Methodology (40%)
                           - Originality and creativity
                           - Methods are clear and appropriate for the objectives
                           - Background and objectives are clearly stated
                  (2) Conclusion and Contribution (40%)
                           - Conclusions are supported by data
                           - Level of project difficulty
                  (3) Poster Production (20%)
                           - The flow of the poster is easy to follow and interpret
                           - Tables, figures and/or written results are succinct          

II. Demonstration Zone:

For poster demonstration only. Vendors or Institutions are welcome to take this opportunity to show research results that are related to the conference main theme.

Application & Submissions:

Participants to Poster Sessions should submit one completed abstract online via PNC Submission System

by July 15, 2017 (has been extended). Submission of digital poster is optional and should be submitted in PDF or JPEG format.


Important Notice:

1. For Poster Competition/ Demonstration Zone participants, at least one author needs to register and attend the conference.

2. All papers and posters submitted will be reviewed by the PNC 2017 Program Committee. PNC preserve the rights to reject the applicants.
